Mila Maintenance News
Friday, June 11, 2010
The Airport’s environmental team has selected the Siegenia Aeropac ventilator unit as the ideal solution for residents under Phase II of its Sound Insulation Scheme and has named Mila Maintenance as its sole appointed installer.
Residents living closest to the airport can now access a grant of up to £3,000 to install high specification double glazing from appointed contractors Profix Ltd, acoustic ventilator units and acoustic loft insulation to provide additional sound proofing in their homes. The scheme is available to properties within the Airport Company’s 2002 63dB noise contour.
The Siegenia Aeropac ventilators are wall mounted units which provide airflow into any room where high specification double or secondary glazing is fitted. They comply with the current Building Regulations and essentially enable homeowners to achieve adequate ventilation in their homes without needing to open windows.
Mila Maintenance, which is part of the Mila Hardware group, was selected as the appointed installer of the Siegenia units on the basis of its nationwide experience in the public sector, in particular in providing a complete window and door maintenance, repair and replacement service.
Its engineers are all NVQ qualified and are trained in risk assessments and tenant liaison. The installation programme is set to begin in June 2010 and is being administered by the Airport Company’s Planning & Environmental Department, assisted by Phoenix Beard Property Consultants.
